Megan Tomlinson competes in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the premier TCR series in North America. In 2024, she was selected to represent Canada at the FIA Motorsport Games in Spain. With a background in both sprint and endurance racing, Megan has earned multiple podiums in series like SPC, WRL, and FEL SCCC.

Erika Hoffmann competes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, and she is also part of the Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program. Erika is the winner of the ’22 FW International Driver Search Competition, placing 1st out of 1000 drivers from 35 countries. She also represented Canada at the FIA International RallyStar competition, placing 1st out of all female finalists from North America.

Megan Leahy is set to compete in four championships in 2025. Alongside her racing with Slate Racing, she’ll take on the FEL Sports Car Championship Canada (TCA class), the Miata Canada Cup, and the Spec Miata Challenge Series.
Off the track, Megan is a certified teacher and serves as Director of the Slate Racing Internship Program, helping mentor the next generation of motorsport talent.

Morgan Smillie is Slate Racing’s Director of Analytics. Working as a strategist and the team’s lead communications specialist over race weekends. Morgan also has a strong background as a motorsport marshall, winning the Director’s Choice Award for Best Marshall 2023 at Calabogie Motorsport Park.

Paulina (Polly) Hoffmann is lead technician on the Slate Racing Crew. Polly is a certified firefighter who has eight years of first responder experience. Before entering motorsports Polly gained her mechanic knowledge through working on her own NA Miata and through her role as a licensed truck driver. Using her technical knowledge she prepares the car and works on the pit crew. Polly serves as the team's safety officer.

2024 Slate Interns
In 2024, Slate Racing proudly offered four internships, providing aspiring professionals with hands-on experience across premier racing series, including the FEL Canadian Sports Car Championship, World Racing League, and Lucky Dog Canada and US. These interns gained invaluable insights into the dynamic world of motorsport, honing their skills in a real race team environment.

Lindsay Stroz is a mechanical engineering student passionate about race engineering. She works with Slate Racing to provide driver and car feedback, and is part of the pit crew. Additionally, she has worked in the FEL SCCC paddock for the past 2 seasons.
Lindsay also co-founded and co-chaired the first Queen’s Women in Automotive and Motorsport Conference to help other women in her university community get involved in the industry

Isabella Cerquozzi, an aerospace engineering graduate from Carleton University, developed her passion for motorsport on Carleton’s Formula Student team, where she served as engine management engineer. After gaining further experience as a junior data engineer with Tomlinson Motorsports in the FEL SCCC 2024 season, Isabella now brings her expertise to Slate Racing, as an engineer and as a member of the pit crew.

Rebecca Arthurson’s journey into motorsport began at a lube shop—working the front desk but dreaming of the garage. Told she’d never work on cars, she proved them wrong by teaching herself. That drive took her to Harley-Davidson, then to working for Porsche, and eventually to BMW.
Now, she brings her passion and precision to Slate Racing as a race weekend technician.
